We Are Born Again
[original text in italics]
Now that you have repented and made Christ Jesus the Lord of your life, you have been born again:
JOHN 3: 6-7 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
You now have a new heart and new spirit. In addition, you now have the Spirit of God in you:

EZEKIEL 36:26-27 And I will give you a new heart [inner man, soul, mind, will], and a new spirit [breath] I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

You are reconciled with your Heavenly Father. Therefore, fasten your consciousness (awareness and perception) on how the Lord sees you and who he has re-created you to be. Just as you exercised belief when you declared Jesus your Lord and were saved, now believe [have faith, be confident, be assured] all that the scriptures say about you:

JOHN 1:12-13 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become sons of God (children of God), who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

2 PETER 1:3-4 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge [perception and recognition] of him who called us to his own glory [honor, divine quality] and virtue [moral goodness and excellence, uprightness], by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

Therefore, you can think, talk and act like God. This is possible because Christ Jesus paid a ransom for your life with his life. He purchased your life with his blood. When you believed and declared Jesus your Lord, this redemption [ransom, gaining possession of us by providing full payment for our sins] was applied to you and your sins were forgiven. This is according to his grace, which is his favor and kindness freely extended to you as a gift (blessing)
EPHESIANS 1:7-10 In him [Jesus] we have redemption [a release effected by payment of ransom] through his blood, the forgiveness [pardon] of our trespasses [falling away], according to the riches of his grace [favor freely extended], which he lavished [abound] upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 …he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness [those approved] of God.
Therefore, you have the verdict [judgement] of approval from God! This is why you are now able to live forever in association with the Lord of creation, understanding his nature, enjoying his presence and his extraordinary gift of redemption and life. You are in the new covenant:
HEBREWS 9:15 Therefore he [Jesus] is the mediator of a new covenant [testament, will, covenant between two parties], so that those who are called [invited] may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
JOHN 10:10 Jesus came to give us life and life abundant

1 CORINTHIANS 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.

The purpose of Jesus’ life, sacrifice, and death was to obtain the resurrection, the redemption, and the gift of the Holy Spirit for you. The Lord Jesus Christ's purpose was to recreate you in the image of God, position you next to Christ, and to reunite you to a face-to-face relationship with the Heavenly Father.
